The Rhône has always been an area of great value to Boutinot, and we now even own our own plots there. Over the past decade we have built enviable relationships with a network of local growers and because of this we were able to source the grapes for Arc du Rhône from three different vineyards. This allows us to blend wine to our standards and to get different attributes in the grapes from different parts of the Rhône valley. The soils were all typical of the Southern Rhône – stony, clay-like and full of pebbles – perfect for achieving better concentration of flavour in the wine.

Tasting Notes
Côtes du Rhône is one of the best loved quality French red wines and this Arc du Rhône is characteristically supple and smooth, appealingly fruity and full-flavoured with a twist of sweet spice in the finish, typical of the Grenache Noir and Syrah grapes from which it is made.

Food Recommendation 
Serve with a host of dishes ranging from traditional meats to rocket salad with duck and, of course, quality French cheeses.
