The Alliance des Crus Bourgeois asked Bureau Veritas, an international certification agency, to monitor selection criteria based on detailed specifications. In September 2009, Château du Retout was approved for participation in qualifying tastings.

We are pleased to announce that our wine passed the test with flying colours and that the 2008 vintage is entitled to the words "Cru Bourgeois" on the label. We will do all we can so that this vintage is only the first in a very long series of successes.

We are proud to belong to the family of Crus Bourgeois and are convinced that these words will soon be a guarantee of quality to consumers everyhere.
