Tasting Notes
On the nose, there is plenty of dark cherry, blackberry and cassis with hints of licorice and leather. Big and round, offering an earthy richness with a delightful and lingering finish. This 100% Cabernet is a blend from two vineyards, a new addition from Zinfandel Lane in the Rutherford AVA and a favorite vineyard we have been using since 2005 from the south end of the St. Helena AVA on Stice Lane. The two vineyards were fermented and aged separately in 40% new oak Bordeaux barrels for 16 months. Just bottled this summer, this wine is eminently drinkable now, but will certainly age nicely for years to come!
